AFC Dronfield v Reserves

A young looking Trojan Reserve side took on AFC Dronfield, who had former Staveley player Ben Kistell amongst their ranks on the 3g pitch at Gosforth fields in front of a decent following from Staveley which included first team manger Brett Marshall.

Both sides were perhaps a little shot shy in a tight first half which ended goalless.

it came to life midway through the second half with Jake Gascoigne’s stunning effort from twenty five-ish yards curling into the top right hand corner to give the Trojans the lead which was doubled five minutes later when Gascoigne turned provider to allow Regan Jay to slot under the onrushing keeper and was doubled further still with late goals from Jordan Black and Reece Clegg.
