Shirebrook Town 0 - 2 Staveley MWFC

05/07/2017 - 7:30 pm at Kirton Brikworks FC

Preseason Friendly:

Shirebrook Town 0 v 2 Staveley MWFC – at Kirton Brickworks FC

The two sides served up a decent nights entertainment for the forty or so spectators in attendance at this early preseason friendly…

Staveley looked sharp early on and took the lead after just five minutes when some good defensive work from Matthew Robinson and Liam Nelthorpe allowed the latter to ping a long raking cross field ball into Callum Mawbey who, with his back to goal improvised a back heeled pass to Ash Rawson who dinked the ball over the onrushing keeper.

The second arrived ten or so minutes later via Kurtis Morley who steered in Callum Mawbeys left wing cross from close range.

Both sides made a raft of changes in the second half but it was no less entertaining as a result, however the Trojans had done enough in the first half to record the victory.
