Staveley MW 3 v 3 Albion Sports

A game whose first half left little to write home about exploded into life in the second when Josh Barkers finish in a crowded penalty area put Staveley in front in the fifty fourth minute. And a sweeping move ten minutes later ended with Tyla Bell doubling the Trojans lead.

Omar Habeeb reduced the arrears for the visitors from the penalty spot with twenty minutes remaining, but just four minutes later the two goal Staveley lead was restored after great work by Tyla Bell allowed Kurtis Morley to slot home a drive from the edge of the area into an empty net to make it 3-1.

The clock ticked over to ninety minutes but there was still time for more drama… as a Tom Ellis own goal made it 3-2 and then Danny Facey broke Trojan hearts by grabbing a dramatic equaliser in the dying seconds.

The Trojans move up to 16th in the early NCEL Premier League table and welcome Harrogate Railway to Inkersall Road next on Wednesday 16th August with a kick of time of 7:45pm.
