Trojans v Clipstone

The goals to shots curse that has hit Staveley of recent weeks struck again as bottom club Clipstone grabbed their first point of the season in an entertaining but goalless draw at Inkersall Road.

The Trojans spent most of the game camped inside the visitors half but despite creating numerous opportunities  they just couldn’t get the ball to go in.. thanks mainly to an inspired display from  Clipstones 17 year old, goalkeeper  Levi Owen, who produced a string of excellent saves including this one from Andrew McCreadie‘ effort late on….

The Trojans next encounter is (Weather permitting) AWAY at Harrogate Railway Athletic in the third Round of the Toolstation NCEL League Cup which has a 7:45pm kick off  and the supporters bus is sets off to Station View (HG2 7JA) from the Inkersall Road carpark at 5:15pm at a cost of just £10.
